McDonald’s MyMacca’s App Increases Points Required to Redeem Rewards

McDonald’s have increased the points required to redeem rewards through the mymacca’s app.

They last updated the Rewards in August 2024, where they added some new rewards and had a few increases – unfortunately in January 2025, they’ve increased the points required across the board to redeem rewards by 500 points.

The full list of rewards and points required below:

Small McCafe Coffee, McDonaldland Cookies, Small Soft Drink, Hamburger, Hot Apple Pie, Apple Slices – 3,000 points (was 2,500 points)
Medium McCafe Coffee – 4,000 points (was 3,500 points)
Large McCafe Coffee, McMuffin, Crispy Snack Wrap, Large Fries, McFlurry, Cheeseburger – 5,500 points (was 5,000 points)
Big Mac, Filet-O-Fish, Quarter Pounder, McChicken – 8,000 points (was 7,500 points)
McSpicy, McCrispy, Angus Burger, Big Brekkie Burger – 10,500 Points (was 10,000 points)

With the app, you’ll earn 100 points per dollar spent on eligible purchases when you order on the mymacca’s app or with a one time code. You can also activate bonus rewards and points through the app, which can make you earn points even quicker.

This means you’ll get around 10% back on your spend in rewards, but this does depend on your reward choice – to find out how much your item costs, check our McDonald’s Menu Prices page.
