NEWS: McDonald’s – Tropical Smoothie & Mixed Berry Smoothie with Protein Booster
Starting Wednesday 17 February 2021, McDonald’s are introducing two new smoothies, now with the option of Protein Booster!
They’re available in two new flavours – Tropical and Mixed Berry.
The smoothies prepared to order, and feature one serve of fruit per medium serve, no added sugar and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
The smoothies are a permanent addition to the menu, and is available all day.
Via the Daily Telegraph, the description of each product is as follows:
- Mixed Berry Smoothie: Mixed berry syrup made from real fruit blended with crushed ice and water.
- Tropical Smoothie: Tropical syrup made from real fruit blended with crushed ice and water.
A Tropical or Mixed Berry Smoothie will set you back around $5.40 for a medium and $5.80 for a large, with the protein booster version costing around $1 extra. However, prices do vary by store. For more prices, see our McDonald’s Menu Prices page.

My local seems to have stopped offering the protein option
I purchased a Tropical fruit smoothie yesterday and it was more like a juice with a lot of crushed ice. Very watery and looked nothing like the thick smoothie in the picture. Not happy!
